Our Phylosophy
Our approach is rooted in the classical principles of Joseph Pilates, combined with a modern contemporary perspective. We focus on improving the body’s overall balance, correcting muscular imbalances and guiding you through precise, controlled movements that develop both strength and flexibility.
Pilates is a low-impact yet highly effective training method built on fluid, harmonious movements and moderate resistance. It strengthens the entire body evenly, with a strong emphasis on the center/core. A healthy core is essential for proper posture — and poor posture is at the root of most back, lumbar and neck pain. The core includes the muscles of the back, lower back, glutes, pelvic floor and abdominals. A strong core means these muscles work together — strong, flexible and coordinated — to support and stabilize the spine.
With proven results in improving posture and joint mobility, Pilates is especially effective for relieving back, lumbar and neck pain caused by muscular imbalances.
During each session, the attention is directed toward breathing and mental focus. Every workout is adapted to the needs and level of the individual. Exercises are performed in a small number of repetitions with an emphasis on precision, control and mindful movement. Although movements may seem simple at first glance, they require deep concentration, a stable center and good balance to be performed correctly.
We may also incorporate small props to enrich the practice. Each exercise is adaptable and depends on the individual’s form and ability. Most exercises fall into three levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate and advanced. For best results, Balance Line Studio recommends practicing Pilates 2–3 times per week.

Individual Sessions
Private pilates classes are great if you are looking for some one-on-one time with the instructor. This time gives the instructor, and you, a chance to get to know your body more personally and in-depth so as to create an exercise plan that would work best for you. A private pilates instructor is guaranteed to be with you through your exercises and provide a safe environment for you to work in. By working one-on-one with the instructor and receiving more detailed instruction than you would in a group class, you will be able to progress at a quicker rate into the advanced exercises.
Private sessions are fully tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
To ensure we create the most effective training plan, the first session is always a private one. During this initial visit, the instructor assesses the client’s fitness level and designs a personalized program accordingly. The session may include work on various Pilates apparatus — Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Barrel — depending on the individual’s ability and experience.
Private sessions are especially suitable for people with specific conditions or injuries, as well as those with a sedentary lifestyle who want to get in shape and feel good in their body. Along with a focus on injury prevention, private Pilates sessions can be a safe, effective way to rebuild strength and function after an injury. Your Pilates instructor can look at your medical history, evaluate your current fitness level, and create a plan to help you rebuild strength in a safe, supervised manner.
Compared to a group class, a private session allows your instructor to focus on moves that are the safest yet most effective for your recovery. Whether you are dealing with a “runner’s knee”, a strained lower back from sitting at a desk all day, or a sports-related injury, a private session can help you safely get back on track.
Semi-Private/Duet Sessions
Semi-Private sessions are for friends, couples or partners with similar goals that would like to work out together. If you are looking to enjoy the benefits of a “Pilates For General Health and Well Being Session” you may want to look to share a session with a friend which can be a cost effective way for you to enjoy the benefits of a pilates private session. Your instructor will guide you through a challenging and invigorating workout using the pilates apparatus.
At Balance Line, we strive to create an environment where every session is high-quality, safe, and deeply rewarding.
To help us maintain this standard, please take a moment to review our studio guidelines:
🧦 Socks are required for all sessions
We recommend wearing grip socks to prevent slipping and ensure greater stability and safety during your workout. If you don’t have a pair, grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.
📵 Device-free time – just for you
Our sessions require full focus and presence. Phones, smartwatches, and other devices disrupt both your experience and the instructor’s guidance, so their use is not permitted during class.
💇♀️ Hair must be tied up
To allow full freedom of movement and avoid accidents, please ensure your hair is securely tied before class.
🚫 No hair clips or sharp elements on clothing
Please avoid wearing metal clips, zippers, buckles, or any sharp accessories that may damage the upholstery of the equipment. Many exercises are performed lying down, so your outfit should be soft, comfortable, and free of rigid or protruding parts.
🩺 Let us know about any injuries or health conditions
If this is your first visit and you have a previous injury or specific health concerns, please inform your instructor before class. This allows us to tailor the session to your needs and keep your experience both safe and effective.
🚫 No children in the studio
As much as we understand that scheduling around children can be challenging, the studio is a space for personal focus and calm. For safety and respect to other clients, children are not allowed during sessions.
⏰ Be on time – make the most of your session
