Comprehensive Teacher training with The Pilates Standard

Upcoming Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training with The Pilates Standard
12–15 March 2026 · 16–19 April 2026

We are delighted to announce an upcoming Teacher Training in the Pilates Method at Balance Line Studio, in partnership with The Pilates Standard –a long-established and internationally recognised authority in classical Pilates education.

About The Pilates Standard

The Pilates Standard is a school with over 15 years of history, founded by Petra Karlsson and Bob Liekens – a teacher who worked directly in the studio of Romana Kryzanowska, a direct student of Joseph Pilates. This places the school in a direct lineage of authentic, classical Pilates teaching as originally intended by its creator.

Today, the school is led by Petra Karlsson – founder and owner of The Pilates Standard, a teacher trainer since 2007 with long-standing international experience in educating Pilates teachers, who will personally lead the first edition of the training in Bulgaria.

Among the school’s teachers is the world-renowned Tony Rockoff – one of the leading figures in Classical Pilates worldwide. He is a long-time student of Bob Liekens and part of the lineage of Romana Kryzanowska teaching style. Tony Rockoff is known for his exceptionally precise approach, deep understanding of the classical repertoire, and strong dedication to preserving the authenticity of the method.

Who is this training for

  • future and current Pilates teachers – with or without prior experience – seeking deep and authentic knowledge of the method;
  • instructors looking to build a solid, comprehensive foundation for confident and structured development;
  • individuals who want to understand Pilates in its true essence as a complete system, not as fragmented exercises or trends.

This is a high-level professional training that provides in-depth knowledge of mat work and all Pilates apparatus, building a true understanding of the method as a whole.
